Los Angeles:
OCNTUG Hosts a
Microsoft Longhorn Server Feedback Session
The Orange
Country NT User Group (OCNTUG) hosted a
successful Longhorn Server Feedback Session,
sponsored by Culminis and Microsoft, on May 13th
at the Quickstart Training Center in Aliso
Viejo, CA, during their monthly meeting. Over
200 people members attended the event, with all
the attendees qualifying for a free copy of
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, as well
as a number of door-prizes and giveaways
provided by Culminis benefactors, including
Audiowhiz audio certification study guides and
TechNet Plus subscriptions. The event was
hosted by Ed Roberts of OCNTUG, and Ron Gandiza
of Culminis. Attendees got the chance to speak
to Jason Hermitage and Mark |
Agar, of the
Microsoft Windows Server Team, via speakerphone
to Redmond, and let them know what they wanted
to see in the next version of Microsoft Server -
Longhorn Server.
Dallas:
AITP, Dallas
Chapter, hosted the last of the four Longhorn
events that were sponsored by Culminis. The
member organization deemed the event a great
success; they received 10 new member
applications and attendee feedback ranked the
organization’s programs as outstanding. They
expect this event to continue adding to their
rapid growth, as they have reached over 100
members, surpassing their Membership Chair’s
projections for the year, and they still have 6
more months to go.

presentation was excellent and extremely well
received by the audience which was one of the
largest of the year thus far. Domino’s Pizza
and soft drinks donated by the local Pepsi
bottler were served. Door prizes supplied by
Windows and .NET Magazine, Microsoft, and local
vendors in north Alabama were also a big hit at
the meeting. HUNTUG, a no-dues, non-profit
organization for IT Professionals in north
Alabama and southern middle Tennessee, meets on
the third Monday night of the month.
