Culminis hosted
a booth at Tech•Ed
2004. The event was a great success on all
fronts. We were able to talk with several group
leaders and explain the Culminis mission and
benefits, generating awareness and excitement
among those current leaders. We also talked
with a number of people, who fall into the group
comprised of about 80% of the total people who
stopped by the booth, who were not members of
any user group. This draws attention to the
challenge we all face, both at Culminis and in
the IT Professional community, in generating
awareness and excitement about user groups.
User groups offer a wealth of support for IT
Professionals, and it is up to all of us to
promote user groups and the benefits they offer.
The Culminis
team was also very proactive in communications
with potential sponsors. We generated excitement
and enthusiasm around our mission, catching the
interest of several possible sponsors. We will
keep you up to date as these relationships
develop.
