The Culminis Compass - August  2004

Executive Letter

This month's Compass focuses on Education and Training. At Culminis, one of our main objectives is to raise the education and technology level of our Membership  and the community through our Speakers Bureau, our online training initiatives, workshops, events, community outreach initiatives  and other vehicles continually being developed and expanded.

While we are still a very new organization (less than six months old), a great deal has been accomplished. One of the areas that is very exciting is the launch of the Culminis Connections site for our Leaders as well as the SharePoint Portals being rolled out to Alliance Member Organizations. If you have not received your e-mail notification related to access of the sites, you should receive it shortly after we receive your signed membership agreement. Connections has a host of opportunities and a wealth of information for you. I hope you take full advantage of it.

Along with Education and Training, this month you will note there is a greater feeling and evidence of engagement in the articles, new initiatives, events etc. at Culminis. Over the last 5 months, we have been working to build systems and programs designed to provide value to you and your organizations through expansion of the support structures, tools to help you in managing your groups and services to extend to your members. In that process, we are engaging leaders, companies and sponsors from all over the world to increase value and deliver quality in every possible area.

There are many more exciting things on the way so please keep yourself aware of Culminis and our evolution by visiting the Connections site as well as the public site frequently.

I want to thank those of you who are becoming engaged and participating with us in various initiatives and task forces. This month, we welcome Steve Lai and Dr. Brad Dinerman to the Security Task force initiative. Thank you gentlemen for your willingness to come forward and participate with Culminis. Your involvement is greatly valued.

I would like to ask each of you to seek out opportunities for engagement in your community related to this month's theme. Identify a need in your community with a school, a teacher or a child and find ways to make a difference. There are few higher callings than to teach a child and each of you has the potential within you to make a difference in a life by becoming engaged.

No one ever stood so tall as when they stooped to help a child.

Make a difference.
